This study aims to analyze the effect of PBL model based on Socio-Scientific Issue on improving problem solving ability on excretory system material. The method used was quasi experiment with non-equivalent control group design. The research was conducted in one of the junior high schools in Bandung Regency with a research sample consisting of 28 students in the experimental and control classes. The increase in problem solving ability in the class with the Socio-Scientific Issue-based PBL model obtained N-Gain 0.52 (medium), while in the class without the Socio-Scientific Issue-based PBL model obtained N-Gain 0.25 (low). It can be concluded that there is an effect of the PBL model based on Socio-Scientific Issue on improving problem solving skills on excretory system material with a sig value. (2-tailed) 0.000 <0.05 and the amount of influence 0.606 (medium).
Delia Novita, Milla Listiawati, Sri Maryanti Copyright (c) 2025 Delia Novita, Milla Listiawati, Sri Maryanti https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://www.journal.genintelektual.id/index.php/conferences/article/view/121 Sun, 31 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Analisis Respon Peserta Didik pada Pembelajaran Inovasi Teknologi Biologi Melalui Model Discovery Based Unity of Science (DBUS) Berbantu Liveworksheet https://www.journal.genintelektual.id/index.php/conferences/article/view/122
Student responses in learning are an important and inseparable part that must be analyzed to see the facts behind the mastery of learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze student responses in learning biological technology innovation through the DBUS model. The research method used is quantitative descriptive from the response questionnaire. The results of the study in the form of an average response of 76.33% indicate that student responses to this model are classified as good. Thus, this indicates that using the DBUS model assisted by liveworksheets received a good response from students as measured by the percentage obtained by the class. It is necessary for students to acquire learning and innovation skills as well as the ability to use information and technology media to acquire the life skills needed in learning.
Erna Lailasari, Muhammad Muttaqien, Iwan Ridwan Yusup Copyright (c) 2025 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://www.journal.genintelektual.id/index.php/conferences/article/view/122 Sun, 31 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Board Game Etnosains Dengan Nilai Keislaman dan Pemahaman Konsep Siswa: Sebuah Penelitian Pengembangan https://www.journal.genintelektual.id/index.php/conferences/article/view/123
This study aims to develop a board game-based learning media integrating ethnoscience and Islamic values on the topic of fermentation, to improve the science concept understanding of MTs students. The background of the study is the need for innovative and contextual learning media that are engaging and integrate local wisdom and religious values, making abstract science concepts easier to understand. The development model used is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research design to test effectiveness is one-group pretest-posttest, with data collected through tests (pretest and posttest) and non-tests (validation questionnaires by media experts, material experts, Islamic values experts, and responses from teachers and students). The validation results show the board game is feasible, with scores of 0.88 from media experts, 0.85 from material experts, and 96% from Islamic values experts. Teacher responses were 86%, and student responses were 84%. The average test score increased from 54.67 (pretest) to 86.00 (posttest), with an N-Gain score of 0.71 (high category). The paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.00 (< 0.05). In conclusion, this board game is both feasible and effective as an innovative and contextual science learning medium in MTs.
Nisa Safira, Achmad Ali Fikri Copyright (c) 2025 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://www.journal.genintelektual.id/index.php/conferences/article/view/123 Sun, 31 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Deteksi Pencemaran Logam Berat Merkuri (Hg) di Perairan Pantai Pajukukang Kabupaten Bantaeng https://www.journal.genintelektual.id/index.php/conferences/article/view/124
Indonesia has 75% of its territory consisting of seas that contain a wealth of natural resources ranging from fish, coral reefs to marine energy potential. Bantaeng Regency is located in a coastal area that stretches along the west and east for 21.5 kilometers which is quite potential for the development of fisheries and seaweed. The development of the nickel mining industry around the waters has an impact on the surrounding life. The purpose of this study was to determine the levels of heavy metal mercury (Hg) in the waters of Pajukukang. Samples were taken at 2 different stations using a purposive sampling method, then analyzed using an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). The results obtained were that the levels of heavy metal mercury (Hg) at stations 1 and 2 were less than 0.00003 mg/L. This figure indicates that the mercury (Hg) content is still below the threshold of 0.001 mg/L.
Ulfa Triyani A. However, various obstacles such as limited laboratory facilities and the complexity of the material, such as Kingdom Plantae, cause students to struggle in understanding the differences among plants and in developing deep conceptual understanding. This study aims to improve students' science process skills through the Children Learning in Science (CLIS) learning model assisted by the V-lab Plantae media on the topic of Kingdom Plantae. The method used is a true experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design, in which subjects were randomly divided into two groups: the experimental group and the control group. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests in the form of multiple-choice questions based on six indicators of science process skills. Data were analyzed using the N-gain formula. The findings showed that the experimental class achieved an average N-gain of 0.74 (categorized as high), compared to the control class with 0.58 (categorized as moderate). The highest improvement occurred in the "measuring" indicator, while the lowest was in the "predicting" indicator. Students in the experimental group were more active in conducting observations, classifying plants, formulating hypotheses, and analyzing the results of interactions in the virtual environment. Thus, this learning model is effective in developing students’ scientific literacy and fostering interest in learning Biology as a whole
Meilia Putri, Sri Hartati, Meti Maspupah Copyright (c) 2025 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://www.journal.genintelektual.id/index.php/conferences/article/view/134 Sun, 31 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Analisis Sikap Siswa Terhadap Penggunaan Media Komik Digital dan Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning pada Materi Keanekaragaman Hayati https://www.journal.genintelektual.id/index.php/conferences/article/view/135
This study analyzes students' attitudes toward biology learning on biodiversity material using digital comic media in a problem based learning model. A quantitative descriptive method was used with a Likert questionnaire 1–5, measuring students' attitudes toward the application of the problem based learning model, digital comic media, and biodiversity material. The sample consisted of 22 students of a private Islamic Senior High School in Bandung Regency. Data were analyzed using Cronbach's alpha reliability and descriptive analysis. The results showed that students had a positive attitude towards the three indicators amounting to 89.63% (good), confirming that problem-based biology learning assisted by digital comics is effective in increasing student engagement and learning experience.
Lina Indah Saputri, Sri Hartati, Meti Mapupah Copyright (c) 2025 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://www.journal.genintelektual.id/index.php/conferences/article/view/135 Sun, 31 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0000
