Learning reflection is one of the ways to obtain feedback from students regarding the learning process that has been carried out. This study aimed to describe students’ learning reflection through the Padlet-assisted Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) model on the coordination system topic. This study employed a descriptive quantitative method. The research was conducted with 29 students of class XI-6 at SMAN 1 Ciparay who participated in learning activities using the Padlet-assisted Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) model. Data were collected using a learning reflection questionnaire based on four indicators, namely Fact, Feeling, Finding, and Future, and
were analyzed descriptively using percentages for each assessment category. The results showed that all reflection indicators obtained good to very good categories. The Fact indicator achieved the highest percentage in the very good category at 97.70%, while the Feeling, Finding, and Future indicators were also predominantly categorized as good to very good. These results indicate that the
implementation of the Padlet-assisted Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) model supports students’ learning reflection through four aspects: identifying learning experiences (Fact), expressing feelings (Feeling), identifying acquired knowledge and insights (Finding), and developing follow-up plans for future learning (Future). Therefore, the Padlet-assisted Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) model can
be an alternative learning approach to support students’ learning reflection on the coordination system topic.
Kirana SalsabilaTri Wahyu AgustinaMilla Listiawati

Plastic waste has become a serious issue for environmental sustainability due to its inability to decompose naturally within a short period. The accumulation of plastic waste has negative impacts on ecosystems, human health, and environmental quality. One potential solution is the development of environmentally friendly food containers made from natural materials. This study aims to analyze the quality and durability of biodegradable food containers made from banana sheaths, bamboo sheaths, and bamboo leaves. The research employed a true experimental method with randomly assigned objects to compare the three materials based on four main indicators: (1) mechanical properties (compressive and flexural strength), (2) water resistance (water absorption rate and leakage resistance), (3) heat resistance (stability at temperatures ranging from 40–80°C), and (4) biodegradability (decomposition rate in soil over a period of 20 days). Data were collected through direct observation and analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that food containers made from bamboo sheaths exhibited the best structural stability, as indicated by a low water absorption rate (1%) and the ability to remain intact after a drop test from a height of 2 meters. Meanwhile, containers made from banana sheaths demonstrated the fastest biodegradation rate within 20 days, both visually and structurally, making them the most promising material in terms of environmental decomposition. Therefore, the utilization of natural materials not only reduces dependence on single use plastics but also produces functional products with economic value.
Nana MediaKhansa ZaydaAlinda PutriBilqis AuliyaKayla AureliaMoza Hauna

https://www.journal.genintelektual.id/index.php/conferences/article/view/274

Biochar has emerged as a promising sustainable material with significant potential in environmental preservation and soil improvement. This review examines the application of biochar derived from various biomass sources in maintaining environmental sustainability. The paper synthesizes recent findings on biochar production from agricultural waste materials such as teak leaves, corn residues, rice straw, sawdust, and sugarcane biomass. The physicochemical properties of biochar are influenced by both feedstock composition and pyrolysis temperature, with variations in density (0.49–0.56 g/cm³), moisture content (1.11–4.18%), ash content (20.38–34.24%), and volatile matter (66.82–79.88%). This review highlights the multifaceted applications of biochar including soil amendment, carbon sequestration, heavy metal remediation, and renewable energy production. The utilization of agricultural waste biomass for biochar production addresses two critical environmental challenges simultaneously: waste management and greenhouse gas mitigation. Integration of biochar as a soil amendment demonstrates improved water retention capacity, enhanced nutrient availability, and increased microbial activity in soils. Furthermore, the addition of binders such as clay enhances the mechanical durability of carbonized biopellets, expanding their applicability as sustainable biofuel. The evidence presented in this review
demonstrates that biochar application represents a viable and environmentally sound strategy for sustainable development, circular economy promotion, and climate change mitigation
Ulfa Triyani A.Latif
