Student response is an important indicator in evaluating the effectiveness of the learning process. This study aimed to describe students' responses to the implementation of the Guided Inquiry learning model based on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in ecosystem material integrated with Islamic values to develop critical thinking skills. The study employed a descriptive
quantitative approach using a student response questionnaire as the data collection instrument. Data were analyzed using percentage techniques to determine response categories. The results showed that students' responses were categorized as very good with an average score of 84%. The highest response was found in the integration of Islamic values, followed by environmental awareness,
learning interest, material understanding, critical thinking, and learning activities in the Guided Inquiry model. These findings indicate that ESD-based Guided Inquiry learning creates engaging learning experiences, improves students' understanding, promotes environmental awareness, and supports the development of critical thinking skills. Therefore, this learning model is recommended
for application in other learning materials to support meaningful and sustainable learning.
